Generating a Journey with AI

Journey Assist is a great way to jump-start your work building journeys. Use it to quickly generate whole journeys or groups of tiles within a journey — Journey Assist can handle some of the repetitive tasks of building a journey so you can build faster and more efficiently.

This article explains how to create new and update existing journeys with Journey Assist. To learn more about how Journey Assist works, see Journey Assist.

NOTE

Just like any AI feature, Journey Assist may not generate exactly what you're looking for every time. Be sure to review any tiles you generate with Journey Assist before publishing a journey.

# Create a new journey with Journey Assist

  1. Go to Messaging > Journeys, and click Create Journey.

  2. Select one of the provided journey prompts (for example, Welcome Journey) or describe the type of journey you want to create. Journey Assist will create a text-based description of the journey it will create.

  3. Review or modify the summary of the journey that will be created, then click Generate. Journey Assist will create the tiles and flows for you.

  4. If you’re happy with the journey, click Keep to save it so you can edit its details. Alternatively, you can delete the suggested journey to start over or click the pencil icon to edit your prompt text.

  5. In Studio, complete any additional edits that are needed to meet your requirements. For example, you can choose the template for a campaign or define the criteria for a Yes/No Split tile. See Journey Building Overview for more information.

  6. Click Save Draft or Test Journey. Journeys are not autosaved.

# Update an existing journey with Journey Assist

There are a couple of ways to update existing journeys using Journey Assist.

# Replace a group of tiles

  1. Select the tile or tiles you want to replace. (Hold Shift and click to select multiple tiles.)

  2. Click Generate (look for the AI icon).

  3. Select Replace Selected Tiles.

  4. Select one of the provided templates (for example, Send Message) or type a prompt that describes the tile you want to create.

  5. Click Generate and Replace.

  6. Click Keep to replace the previous group with the generated one. Alternatively, you can restore the original grouping or edit the grouping in the text-based prompt.

  7. Complete any additional edits that are needed. See Journey Building Overview for more information.

  8. Click Save Draft or Test Journey. Journeys are not autosaved.

# Add tiles to the end of a journey

  1. Select the tile at the end of the desired path and click Generate. Alternatively, you can click the Add to Path button on the selected tile to complete the next steps.

  2. In the Generate Tiles menu, select Add Tiles to Path.

  3. Select one of the provided templates (for example, Send Message) or type a prompt that describes the tile you want to create.

  4. Click the Journey Assist button (the diamond icon next to the editor panel).

  5. Click Keep to replace the previous group with the generated one.

  6. Complete any additional edits that are needed. See Journey Building Overview for more information.

  7. Click Save Draft or Test Journey. Journeys are not autosaved.
