# Default Quiet Hours for new SMS campaigns
June 9, 2026
This release improves the Quiet Hours experience for SMS by preventing accidental overnight sends.
For new SMS campaigns, Quiet Hours are now on by default. The default pauses SMS sends from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM every day, Monday through Sunday, in each recipient's local time when available. This default applies to both marketing and transactional SMS campaigns.
For time-sensitive transactional campaigns that must send at the time they're triggered, including right after an event, you can turn Quiet Hours off for that campaign. Check with your legal counsel to verify that your sending times fit regional compliance expectations for your SMS recipients.
For other channels, Quiet Hours are off by default and may be enabled when you need it for a campaign.
To learn more about Quiet Hours, see:
- Quiet Hours to learn about Quiet Hours and how to configure them.
- Optimizing Campaign Delivery to learn about other delivery options you can enable for your campaigns.

# May's Monthly Release
May 27, 2026
This month we’re focused on clearer data, smoother cross-channel sends, more visibility into AI, and stronger email results, so you can move faster with less guesswork.
Here are the key updates:
# Expanded Data Sync functionality
Iterable Data Sync is now available for hosting on Iterable's European data center (EDC) and includes the following enhancements:
- You can now export user profile fields (including Iterable-generated UUID, customer-generated
userID, email address, and more). - You can sync your data to an SFTP destination. See Configuring Your SFTP Destination for information.
# Send Time Optimization Insights—Lift reporting
STO Insights is a reporting enhancement for our Send Time Decisioning feature, providing insights into the impact of Send Time Optimization (STO)-optimized sends, including lift reporting. Using a recently updated STO model, these insights provide even greater accuracy for the best time to send messages.
See Send Time Optimization Insights for more information.
# Google Ads in journeys
Iterable’s Google Ads integration is now available to all Iterable customers. (Note that an active Google Ads account is required to use this feature.) This integration lets you sync static and dynamic lists from Iterable directly into Customer Match in your Google Ads account, building lookalike audiences across your paid and owned channels for cross-channel retargeting.
With this release, we've added support for exporting audiences to Google Ads from Iterable journeys with the Google Ads journey tile.
To learn more about using this integration, see Google Ads Integration.
# Embedded Messaging with Iterable’s React Native SDK
Version 3.0.0 of Iterable’s React Native SDK brings GA support for Embedded Messaging, including support for out-of-the-box views (cards, notifications, and banners). For more information, see Embedded Messages with Iterable’s React Native SDK and React Native SDK release notes on GitHub.
NOTE
Embedded Messaging must be enabled in your Iterable account—talk to your customer success manager for details.
# Email Link Shortening for reduced clipping risk
Make large, link-dense emails safer to send. Email Link Shortening is a new premium add-on that replaces long tracking URLs with shorter, on-brand links at send time. This reduces the risk of message clipping while fully preserving your Iterable tracking, attribution, and Click Heatmap reports.
To learn more about adding Email Link Shortening to your plan, talk to your Iterable account manager.
# Additional Lists page enhancements
We’ve made even more improvements to the Lists page to streamline common list-management tasks. You can now create lists more easily and launch common list actions directly from the Lists page, with some flows opening in modals for a smoother experience.
See Managing Lists and Adding Users and Creating Lists for more information.
# Spring Product Release
April 22, 2026
The Spring ‘26 Product Release marks a pivotal shift for Iterable, moving from manual campaign execution to a goal-driven, agentic experience. These updates are designed to let AI handle the heavy lifting while you focus on strategy.
NOTE
This release will be rolled out in phases throughout the spring. Check with your CSM to see when your team will be enabled.
# The Command Center and new Iterable app
Stop digging through reports and start leading with data. The new Iterable Command Center is a goal-driven homepage that puts your most critical metrics, campaign health alerts, and progress toward business goals front and center the moment you log in. When combined with our app’s refreshed look and feel, and modernized navigation bar, Iterable should feel familiar, yet totally new all at once.
See Iterable Command Center: Your homepage and Creating and Managing Goals for more information.
# Nova Agent: Powered by Nova Intelligence
Nova Agent is a context-aware partner that uses natural language to act on your behalf. Instead of performing every task manually, use plain-language prompts to coordinate responses that specifically address the action you want to take and the questions that you ask. Nova Agent can help you:
Create, edit, or ideate templates, campaigns, and experiments: Nova Agent can help you create these from scratch, or edit existing ones and think creatively about possible approaches. Just start a conversation and see where it leads. Nova Agent won’t save changes or take other actions (like sending) without asking you to confirm that it should.
Review templates: Automatically audit templates and flag issues with alt text, spelling and grammar, links, and Handlebars before you use them. Nova Agent can even fix some of these issues for you.
Generate Handlebars: If you want to add Handlebars code to your template, but aren’t sure how, ask Nova Agent for help. Just explain the type of information you want to personalize, and the agent will do the rest. Provide specific field or event names to improve the agent’s responses.
Learn about analytics: Getting simple performance summaries about the metrics you track or campaigns you’re monitoring has never been easier. Just ask Nova Agent to show you the information you’re looking for and it’ll provide charts and performance summaries that make analyzing performance a cinch.
Get answers to just about any Iterable-related question: Finding the right information should be as easy as asking a teammate. Now, you can get that help by asking Nova Agent. The agent reads Iterable’s curated knowledge base to generate a bespoke answer to your specific question, and shows the articles it sourced so you can continue learning at your own pace.
See Using Nova Agent for more information and example queries.
# Activate previously unknown users
Say goodbye to lost revenue from anonymous customer browsing sessions. With Unknown User Activation, you can capture behavioral intent data from anonymous website browsing sessions and use it to nurture sign-ups and purchases. Whether a known user is browsing while signed out or a new user is visiting your website for the first time, you can turn these signals into action and unlock new revenue for your brand.
See Unknown User Activation Overview for more information.
# Integrate Iterable with Google Ads (Beta)
With Iterable’s new Google Ads integration (beta), you can sync static and dynamic lists from Iterable directly to Customer Match in your Google Ads account. Build lookalike audiences between your paid and owned channels for cross-channel retargeting to reduce wasted spend and unify your marketing efforts.
See Google Ads + Iterable Integration for more information.
# Scale trust and compliance with Stored Messages
Now, Iterable can securely archive exact rendered copies of every sent email, SMS, and push message to your own Amazon S3 bucket. Stored Messages is perfect for compliance support and auditing critical communications. To add Stored Messages to your plan, ask your Iterable account manager.
See Stored Messages Overview for more information.
# April 2026
# Updates to Campaign Label criteria in segmentation
April 2, 2026
We've updated Iterable's segmentation tool to provide more relevant search
results and improve query performance for organizations that use labels to
search and filter their campaigns. There are two new limits on the number of
campaigns that can be returned for segmentation queries that include the
Campaign Label field:
- Each clause that contains the
Campaign Labelfield can return a maximum of 3,000 matching campaigns. - An entire segmentation query that contains any
Campaign Labelcriteria can return a maximum of 20,000 matching campaigns.
If a query exceeds these limits, you won't be able to run or save it. You'll be prompted to enter a date range (or narrow an existing one) for each affected clause and/or adjust other conditions until the query returns results within these limits. This reduces system load, while narrowing your search results to the most relevant campaigns.
To learn more about this update, see Segmenting with Campaign Labels.
# March's Monthly Release
March 31, 2026
In addition to updates made to Iterable's SDKs, which are detailed in the SDK Release Notes, we've made made a number of updates to Iterable's MCP Server since our initial release in November.
Faster setup, more flexibility, Windows key encryption: Clearer setup, better error messaging, and new AI client automations for Gemini CLI, Windsurf, and Google Antigravity, which are now available along with our existing Cursor, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code clients. We’ve also added Windows DPAPI encryption for a more simplified approach to data management.
Built-in safety and control: Stronger safeguards and permission requirements for campaign creation to help avoid accidental sends.
-
Various performance improvements, including:
- Template sorting/pagination so “get my most recent templates” works (v1.4.0)
- Campaign state filtering, e.g. “get my running campaigns” (v1.7.0)
- 3 new experiment tools: list, get details, get variants (v1.6.1)
- Snippet tool fix for Cursor (v1.3.0)
For more information about these updates, see the README file.
# February's Monthly Release
February 24, 2026
Get more confidence in every campaign. With the February 2026 release, we've strengthened Iterable's delivery controls and reporting insights to help you engage your ideal audience and make more informed decisions as you scale. Check out what's new!
# Iterable Data Sync
Iterable Data Sync is the latest addition to Iterable's data export story, enabling you to export your Iterable data to external storage. Now, you can automate and copy your most valuable Iterable-enriched customer data into your own cloud data warehouse or storage so you can analyze data from Iterable alongside the rest of your business data in your environment, while monitoring data syncs in the Iterable UI.
See our Data Sync documentation for information about configuring your destination (AWS S3, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift). Contact your Iterable customer success manager to discuss adding Iterable Data Sync to your plan.
# Global Suppression Lists
With Global Suppression Lists, it's easier than ever to protect your brand and stay compliant. You can now automatically exclude specific users from all new campaigns and journeys within a project — replacing manual workarounds with a single, reliable safeguard.
# Creative Library
Creative Library provides a single, centralized home for all your brand assets. You can now easily store and reuse images, PDFs, and videos across all your messaging channels, ensuring your team always has the right content at their fingertips.
# List page enhancements
We've redesigned the Lists page to help you stay organized and move faster. New features like folders and bulk actions let you manage your audiences with fewer clicks, reducing the time you spend managing lists.
# Enhancements to the Usage and Billing page
We've finished rolling out changes to the Usage & Billing page that provide visibility into your contract usage. These improvements help you track your progress against your limits so you can plan your next move with certainty.
# Experimentation analytics for winner selection
To provide more flexibility in the way you learn about the performance of a campaign variant used in an experiment, you can now view experiment metrics (sends, opens, clicks, etc.) for two different periods of time:
View an Experiment Period for metrics from the experiment's start to when a winner was selected — this reflects the variant’s performance.
View metrics for Experiment (all time) to include actions that occurred after a winner was selected and the winning variant was sent to all remaining users. This reflects the overall performance of the campaign, not just the variant.
This update is being released over the next couple of weeks. If you don't see it yet, it'll be there soon! See Experiment Analytics for more information.
# New metrics for Embedded Messaging
We've added new click rate and impression rate metrics for Embedded Messaging so you can have the same insights for embedded messages as you do for other channels in Iterable. See Metrics Definitions for more information.
# New filtered engagement metrics
We’ve added these new metrics to provide greater reporting flexibility: Email Click Rate (filtered), Email Open Rate (filtered), SMS Click Rate (filtered), Unique Email Click Rate (filtered), Unique Email Open Rate (filtered), and Unique SMS Click Rate (filtered). See Metrics Definitions.
# SDK enhancements and fixes
Various updates have been made to Iterable's SDKs this month to improve performance and reliability. For details about these updates, see the SDK Release Notes.

# Improved validation for WhatsApp template submission
February 9, 2026
We've added more checks to help you get business-initiated WhatsApp templates ready for Meta approval. Here's what's new:
Saving a template: Now when you try to save a business-initiated WhatsApp template that contains issues that would cause Meta to reject the template, Iterable displays a message highlighting the problem(s). You won't be able to save the template or submit it to Meta for approval until the issues are resolved.
Submitting a template for review: Now when you click Submit for Approval, Meta performs an initial validation check and returns an error if the template contains issues that would cause the template to be rejected. The submission fails, and the template remains in the
Draftstate. Iterable displays an error message explaining what needs to be resolved before you can successfully resubmit the template to Meta for approval.
NOTE
Even after you resolve any issues Iterable detects when you save or attempt to submit a template, Meta may still reject the template. These checks are designed to help you avoid some of the main pitfalls that lead to template rejections, but Meta's review process is subjective and Iterable can't guarantee approval. Always follow Meta's template guidelines for the best chance of getting templates approved.
To learn more about creating business-initiated WhatsApp templates and getting them approved by Meta, see Creating WhatsApp Templates and Managing WhatsApp Template Approvals.
# Changes to auto-complete behavior when setting values in segmentation queries
February 9, 2026
We just released an enhancement to Iterable's Segmentation tool that makes
query setup faster and more performant. Now when you set a value for a string
field that has over 1000 possible values, the search function in the Select a value...
box uses Starts with (matching characters from the beginning of the string
are returned) instead of Contains (matching characters from any part of the
string are returned). When this happens, you'll see a message in the
Select a value... box advising you to type the beginning of your string to
find the value(s) you're interested in.
This change does not affect existing segmentation queries or lists — only the experience of setting up a segmentation query. To learn more about this update, see Creating a Segmentation Query.
# Updates to WhatsApp messaging limits
February 5, 2026
Meta has changed how messaging limits work for WhatsApp. Prior to this update, messaging limits were set and enforced for each of an organization's WhatsApp phone numbers. Now, an organization's WhatsApp messaging limit is shared across all of the phone numbers in the organization's WhatsApp business portfolio.
If you already have a WhatsApp business portfolio, your organization's messaging limit will be set to the highest limit of any of your phone numbers. For example, if you have one phone number with a limit of 250 conversations (per rolling 24-hour period) and the other with a limit of 100K conversations, now both phone numbers — and any future phone numbers added to your business portfolio — share a limit of 100K conversations.
Newly created WhatsApp phone numbers have immediate access to the portfolio's shared messaging limit, and phone numbers that meet the criteria for automatic scaling have their limit increased after 6 hours, rather than 24.
The Flagged sender status no longer exists, and when a phone number's quality
rating decreases, its messaging limit is not affected (it continues to share the
business portfolio's messaging limit).
For more details about these changes and how they affect your Iterable WhatsApp campaigns, see Meta's support article Upcoming Changes to Messaging Limits.
# Restored HREF_INDEX field in Snowflake
February 3, 2026
By the end of today, you'll notice that we've restored the HREF_INDEX field,
which was previously deprecated, to the Email Click table in Snowflake.
TRACKED_LINK continues to be the primary source we reference for link
tracking, but in uncommon cases, where that field can't be used, HREF_INDEX
will be used, instead.
For information about these fields, see Snowflake + Iterable Integration.
# January 2026
# Custom date picker added to the enhanced Usage and Billing page
January 8, 2026
Previously, we announced the enhanced Usage and Billing screen and began rolling it out to some accounts. We listened closely to your feedback, and paused the roll out of this new billing page while we made some final refinements.
Today, we’ve added a Custom Date option that allows you to view usage metrics across the exact timeframe that matters most to you. There is one limitation to note: When you view by a custom date range, metrics related to limits don't display.
Who can use the new Usage and Billing screen?
Accounts that already have access to the new Usage and Billing screen from last year's partial rollout can view metrics using the Custom Date option starting today!
We will resume rolling out the new Usage and Billing screen so that all remaining accounts will have access by Friday, January 16, 2026.
To learn more about the updated Usage and Billing screen, see Usage and Billing.
