# 2.3.3
September 29, 2026
Version 2.3.3 of Iterable's Web SDK fixes in-browser message dismissal on Chrome for iPhone and other iOS browsers that do not identify as Safari.
This update includes the following changes:
- The SDK close button now dismisses in-browser messages in those browsers,
including full-screen messages and when
isRequiredToDismissMessageis enabled. - Chrome on iOS was treated as desktop Chrome, so the close button was placed inside the message, where the browser does not run its click handler. The SDK now detects that case and uses the same close button behavior as Safari.
-
iterable://andaction://links are still not supported in Safari or in other iOS browsers. Those links do not dismiss the message. Use the SDK close button instead.
# 2.3.2
September 24, 2026
Version 2.3.2 of Iterable's Web SDK is a security maintenance release.
This update includes the following changes:
- Bumped the
axiosdependency to v1.18.0, which resolves the outstanding prototype pollution, proxy bypass, and denial of service advisories reported against v1.14.0. There are no API or behavior changes, so you only need to update the SDK version in your project.
# 2.3.1
August 18, 2026
Version 2.3.1
of Iterable's Web SDK completes preferUserId configuration for user
identification.
This update includes the following changes:
- Pass
preferUserIdthroughsetUserIDand JWT-modesetEmailinto the identify-time/users/updatecall. In 2.3.0, callers could already setpreferUserIdonupdateUser, updateCart, andtrackPurchase, butsetUserID/setEmailstill forcedpreferUserId: true. You can now pass it as the third argument, for examplesetUserID('user-123', undefined, false), and the SDK defaults totruewhen you omit it.
# 2.3.0
July 21, 2026
Version 2.3.0
of Iterable's Web SDK makes preferUserId configurable.
This update includes the following changes:
- Made
preferUserIdcaller-configurable onusers/update,updateCart, andtrackPurchaserequests. Previously the SDK hardcodedpreferUserId: true, overriding any value passed by the caller. The SDK now honors the value you provide and still defaults totruewhen you don't set one, so existing behavior is unchanged unless you explicitly opt out. Note: configuringpreferUserIdonsetUserID/setEmailrequires 2.3.1 or later.
# 2.2.2
March 31, 2026
Version 2.2.2 of Iterable's Web SDK includes a bug fix and a security update.
This update includes the following changes:
- Fixed an issue where the user email was missing from in-app event payloads.
- Pinned the axios dependency to v1.14.0 to address a security vulnerability.

This update includes the following changes:
- Adds support for capturing user consent with Unknown User Activation.
- Updates to the Unknown User Activation feature to resolve minor issues and bugs.
# 2.0
