# Creating a campaign and selecting an audience
To create a campaign: navigate to Messaging > Campaigns, click the New Campaign button, and select a message medium.
Name your campaign, add labels, and select Blast or API-Triggered. If you don't include labels now, you can always add them under the header of a campaign on the Details page.
Click Create Campaign. The campaign Details page appears, where you configure the campaign's details.
To specify who should receive (or be excluded from) a campaign, click Select lists next to the Audience heading.
To add content to a campaign, click Browse Templates and select a template (or, if you're looking at a campaign that already has a template selected, click Edit).
Edit the campaign's content, preview it, or send proofs to yourself or others.
# Timing campaign delivery
To enable Quiet Hours, Send Time Optimization (STO), and override send rates, find the Delivery and Compliance area and click Edit. Note that Quiet Hours is enabled by default for SMS messages, but must be set for all other supported channels. For more information, see Optimizing Campaign Delivery.
# Adding conversions and A/B experiments
To add conversions and A/B experiments, click Edit in the Conversions and Experiments area. Use the dropdown menu to add conversion events, or click Add Experiment to add an experiment (this takes you to the Experimentation page).
NOTE
You can't modify a campaign's custom conversion events if it already has an experiment that selects a winner based on a custom conversion event.
# Sending or scheduling a campaign
After configuring a campaign, click Review. If everything looks right, you can send or schedule it (blast campaigns), or activate it (API-triggered campaigns).
When scheduling a campaign, you can configure:
- The start date and time.
- Whether to base its send time on the project time zone or the recipient's time zone.
- A schedule for repeated sends, if needed.
- An end date for the campaign.
- Days on which to send (for some repeat options).
- How far ahead of time to create the campaign before it sends.
# Previewing campaign content
To preview a campaign, click Preview (in the campaign header). Or, in the Content area, click Edit, and then choose an option from the overflow menu.
# Replacing a template
To select a different template for a campaign, go to the Content area. Twirl open the arrow next to the Edit button and click Replace template.
# Saving the campaign content as a new template
To save the content of a campaign as a template, to use it with other campaigns:
Open up the campaign. In the Content area, click Edit.
In the page header, find the overflow menu (three dots). In this menu, click Save as new template.
Choose a destination project and give the template a name.
Click Save template.
# Switching locales
To view the locales for a campaign and add new ones, click Edit in the Content area, then use the Locales dropdown. For more information, see Creating Content in Multiple Languages and Setting up Locales.
