# Tiles
Tiles are the individual steps or stages of a journey. There are six types of tiles.
A Start tile is used to start each journey.
Message tiles send a message to users when they reach that tile in the journey.
Delay Tiles let you prevent users from moving forward in a journey for a specified length of time.
Filter tiles let you send users down different paths in a journey based on their individual attributes and behaviors.
User Update Tiles let you automatically change information on a user's Iterable profile, or update their subscription preferences.
Integration Tiles let you sync data to and from external apps or services in journeys. This includes Webhook tiles and Live Data (beta) for real-time decisioning and personalization.
# Tilesets
Tilesets are groups of tiles that you can save and reuse in multiple journeys. To learn more, see Studio Basics.
# Notes
Notes let you add comments and questions on a journey to collaborate with your teammates. Notes are internal only (your users won't ever see them). To learn more, see Studio Basics.
