With the Kickbox + Iterable integration, you can verify the email addresses on your lists before you hit "send" in order to improve email deliverability rates and protect your sender reputation.
Setup instructions
In Iterable
Create an API key
- Go to Integrations > API Keys.
- Click New API Key.
- Give your API key a name (for example, "Kickbox Integration") and select Server-side.
- Click Create.
- Copy the API key to your clipboard.
IMPORTANT
Store your API key in a safe location. Once you close this menu, you won't be able to view the full API key again.
Determine your Iterable project type
Go to Settings > Project Settings.
-
Under Project, you'll see your project type (Email-based, UserId-based, or Hybrid.)
Make note of which project type pertains to your project — you'll need this information in a later step.
In Kickbox
-
Click Add Integration.
-
In the Add A New Integration menu, select Iterable.
-
In the API Key field, enter the API key you created earlier in Iterable.
-
Under Type of Project, select your Iterable project type.
Click Add Integration.
When you're finished, your Iterable contact lists will appear as available to import.
Verifying your Iterable contact lists in Kickbox
-
Select which lists you would like to import to Kickbox, then click Import.
Kickbox will determine the number of email addresses on each imported list and place the lists in the Active Lists queue.
-
Click the blue Start List button next to each list you’d like to analyze.
-
You can close this window, turn off your computer, walk away, or otherwise go about your day — you will receive an email from Kickbox notifying you when the analysis is complete.
Exporting data back to Iterable
-
When the analysis is complete, go back to the Lists page in Kickbox, and click on a list to view the results.
-
In the List Details sidebar, you'll see a breakdown of the validity scores for the email addresses on your list (rated as deliverable, risky, undeliverable, and unknown). At the bottom of the sidebar, you'll see two options for using this data:
EXPORT: Sends the results of the analysis to your Iterable account.
DOWNLOAD: Downloads the results of the analysis directly to your computer.
To send the results to your Iterable account, click EXPORT.
-
Select an option for exporting the data to Iterable. The Deliverable option is selected by default. This option creates a new list in your Iterable project, containing only the email addresses that Kickbox identified as valid. (The original list remains intact.)
If you prefer to export your results differently, select one of the other two options: Deliverable, Risky, and Unknown or Custom.
Click Export and allow some time for Kickbox to send this information to Iterable. When the export process is complete, you'll receive an email letting you know.
