SmarterSends + Iterable Integration

The SmarterSends + Iterable Integration lets you send user data from Iterable to SmarterSends — an all-in-one email marketing platform that empowers distributed marketing teams to easily create, schedule, and send emails.

# Setup instructions

To connect your Iterable and SmarterSends accounts, follow these steps:

# In Iterable

# Step 1: Create an API key

1. Go to Integrations > API Keys.
2. Click New API Key.
3. Give your API key a name (for example, "SmarterSends Integration") and select Server-side.
4. Click Create.
5. Copy the API key to your clipboard.

# In SmarterSends

1. Click Email Service Provider.
2. Select Iterable from the dropdown.
3. Select the API endpoint that matches the Iterable data center associated with your project.
4. Paste the Iterable API key you created earlier into the API Key box.
5. Click Test API Access. If everything is set up correctly, you'll see a green checkmark, and some additional settings will appear.
6. Select the Email Subscription Channel you want to use with the SmarterSends integration. (You can configure additional email subscription channels in your Iterable project settings.)
7. Select the Message Type to be used by default for all subscription statuses when sending from SmarterSends.
8. If you want to restrict which data fields your team can use when importing data or personalizing messages, check the Restrict Import Fields checkbox. Then select which attributes your team members should be able to use for data imports and personalization.
9. Click Save, and the integration should be all set up!
