If you're unsure whether an experiment has been launched, navigate to Messaging > Experiments and view the status under Start date for the experiment of interest. If instead of a start date, you see "Not launched," the experiment hasn't been activated, and you need to do so.
To launch an experiment for a blast campaign that's associated with a send time experiment, follow the steps in Configure Send Time Experiments.
To launch an experiment that's associated with a triggered campaign:
Ensure that the campaign has been activated (navigate to Messaging > Campaigns and view the associated campaign's status).
Navigate to Messaging > Experiments and access the experiment you want to launch.
-
On the Experiment setup page, click Launch experiment.
The experiment will send when the campaign sends.
NOTES
An experiment that’s added to an already-active triggered or journey campaign only evaluates the performance of sends that occur after the experiment is launched; experiments can’t retroactively look at earlier sends of these campaigns. We generally recommend including experiments for new (not-yet-activated) triggered or journey campaigns.
For a journey campaign, you can let a campaign visitor automatically activate the campaign after you enable the journey.
For recurring campaigns, experiments are associated only with the first instance of a campaign, and are not relaunched with each recurring send.
Next steps
After an experiment launches, monitor the results on the Experiments index page. Read Managing Experiments for information about the statuses reported.
See Experiment Winner Selection to learn when and how Iterable selects a winning campaign variant and what happens after a winner is selected.
