Rockset + Smart Ingest

Smart Ingest lets you pull data stored in your Rockset database and push it to Iterable.

NOTE

Contact your Iterable customer success manager to discuss adding Smart Ingest to your plan.

Smart Ingest can only import data from Rockset.

Connection requirements

Before you can connect Smart Ingest to Rockset, you need to do the following:

Before you connect Smart Ingest to Rockset, make sure to allow Smart Ingest IPs to connect to your database.

To connect to Rockset, you need the following details:

Region - The region where your Rockset database is hosted. Smart Ingest supports Frankfurt (eu-central-1), N. Virginia (us-east-1), and Oregon (us-west-2).

You can find the region of your Rockset organization in the top left corner of the Rockset Console Overview screen.
API Key - The API key for your Rockset account. The key must have the admin role.

To create an API key in Rockset:

Open the Rockset console and go to Manage > API Keys from the left navigation menu.
Click Create API key.
Enter API key details:
- Name - Give the API Key a descriptive name, like "Smart Ingest".
- Role - Select admin.
Click Submit.
Copy your API key to use it in Smart Ingest.

To connect Smart Ingest with your Rockset database:

Log in to Iterable as a user with the Manage Integrations project permission and open the project you’re working on.
Go to Integrations > Smart Ingest.
Click Connect a New Source.
Select Rockset and click Continue.
Select your Region for Rockset: Frankfurt (eu-central-1), N. Virginia (us-east-1), or Oregon (us-west-2).
Enter your Rockset API Key.
Click Continue. Smart Ingest automatically tests the connection.
When the connection test is successful, click Continue. (If there are problems connecting, click Back and review the connection details for accuracy.)
Add a name for your data source to display in Iterable.
Click Finish.

You've now connected Rockset to Smart Ingest. The next thing you can do is create a sync.
