The Mixpanel + Iterable integration enables you to use Mixpanel to measure and understand the impact of Iterable messaging campaigns on your product and users. Effortlessly pass user engagement events from Iterable to Mixpanel by configuring a system webhook targeted at your Mixpanel project.
There are some settings that your Iterable customer success manager has to turn on before this integration will work. If you want to use this integration, reach out to your customer success manager and they can get you set up.
Sending data from Iterable to Mixpanel
To use a system webhook to send data from Iterable to Mixpanel:
In Iterable, navigate to Integrations > System Webhooks:
Click Create Webhook.
Configure the system webhook:
Authentication Token: Your Mixpanel project token
To find this token, navigate in Mixpanel to Settings >
Your Org> Projects, select your project, and scroll to Access Keys:
Custom HTTP Headers: No custom HTTP headers needed.
Select the types of events that Iterable should send to Mixpanel.
Click Save Webhook.
Iterable will now automatically send the selected events to Mixpanel, and Mixpanel can use these events for various types of analysis. For more details about these events, read System Webhooks.
Mixpanel's live view looks like this:
userId maps to Mixpanel's
distinct_id. To ensure that Iterable
events map to the expected user profile in Iterable, users in both platforms
should share the same unique identifiers.
