Create a recurring blast campaign
To create a recurring blast campaign, follow these steps:
1. Begin by creating a new blast campaign
Either by clicking New Campaign on the left menu:
Or by clicking the green Create New Campaign button:
2. Select your send list(s)
The recurring campaign will use these lists every time it sends. Any overlap between lists will be de-duped and users listed on suppression lists (optional) will be suppressed at send time. Users who are unsubscribed from the message type and/or channel associated with the campaign will also be suppressed at send time.
3. Select your template
Choose a template for your campaign. Many times, recurring campaigns will pull data from a data feed that is regularly updated. To learn more, read Rendering Templates with Data Feeds.
4. Edit your template
To learn how to edit a template, read Template Overview.
5. Schedule your campaign and make it recurring
You will then select a time to deliver your campaign. You can specify how often the campaign will run. Currently, a recurring campaign can only be sent, at max, once every 24 hours. You can also skip certain days of the week.
Next, you will decide how far in advance you would like to create your child campaigns. You cannot create child campaigns 0 hours before send time. Once the campaign has been created, it will have a status of 'Scheduled' until send time.
The final option pertains to send time time zone. If you are interested in scheduling for users' time zones, read Scheduling Campaigns for Recipients' Time Zones.
Turn off a recurring campaign
For information on how to cancel, reschedule or abort a campaign, read Canceling, Rescheduling, and Aborting Blast Campaigns.
Recurring campaigns in segmentation
In segmentation, you can check to see if a user was ever sent an email from a recurring campaign by creating this query:
Currently, it is not possible to see if a person has ever opened or clicked an email from a recurring campaign. You can only look to see if a person opened or clicked a specific campaign that the recurring campaign created.
