Templates define layouts, styles and content that Iterable campaigns can send as messages. They can include plain text, HTML, links, images, AMP for Email content, user profile data, information from campaign-triggering events, content from data feeds, snippets and conditional logic.
In Iterable, there are three kinds of templates:
Base templates - Reusable content that Iterable campaigns can copy, use as a starting point, and customize. Maintaining a comprehensive set of base templates can help you send messages consistent in content, style, tone and voice.
Campaign templates - Customized message content associated with specific Iterable campaigns. When creating a campaign template, you can use a base template as a starting point, customizing it however necessary—without impacting the base template itself.
Workflow templates - Customize message content associated with specific workflow-related Iterable campaigns.
